Moral Panic

There are many crazy things happening in this century that can vary from; children shooting other children to the rounding up of migrants in Greece. There has been many people say that these things happen due to the sorts of media that we are exposed to. One example of this is where a man overdosed on a new drug (at the time in 2012) called Bathsalts (due to it's powdery like substance) and ended up eating the face of a homeless man. The poliece shot the man six times before he died, this is because after the first shot he still kept eating the mans face. They felt if they didn't shoot anymore the homeless man would have died and the man on drugs would have then go on to attack the police officer. The first person to see this was a cyclist who then called the poliece he stated that he may need counselling to help him get over the traumatic things he saw. This was a moral panic as this was a new drug at the time so people didn't know if this would happen to others who took the drug. Another example of this is
