Magazine Article Analysis

Again like the other articles I have looked at, this one doesn't think much of the picture, but this time instead of using it to help explain the story it's just a picture of who is being interviewed in the article. I like this article because the first paragraph is about the person being interviewed and the rest is in a question/answer layout. This is quite interesting and can make the audience feel closer to the person being questioned because it's written like they are talking to you. If I have a question/answer layout I think I will use this layout because it looks good and effective. The audience for this article other than the people who will buy the magazine will be people who like the artist being asked.

I like this article because it's about the inspiration behind a singers style and style is the most important thing for singers next to music itself. It has a simple picture of Gabby Young dressed in her style of fashion at the top of the page and then they have the article taking up the rest of the space. This shows that they think that the picture isn't as important as the article itself and also shows that the picture is like an extra on the heading. They have put the name of an artist which has inspired Gabby and a sing that they have made/composed next to it. Under this they have put what Gabby thinks about them. This shows that each is a seperate piece in their own right. In the middle of the list of names they have put in a audio thing that has all the artists and the listed song in which you can listen to it. I like the fact that they gave each of the individual people their own paragraphs.

The conent of this article is very interesting and they only put the important bits of the story in, they also but in briefly so that there's not too much to read and the audience won't get bored with it. They have two pictures put in to the article, one that's quite large and the other one is small. These fit into the layout of the article quite well. They are good shots and they aren't too exravigant for the type of magazine this is. They have mainly focused on the on the article ratyher than the pictures, this shows that it's a magazine dedicated to the story rather than the pictures and photo shoots. From this article I would take the layout of the page and how they only used a few simple shoots and the brief explenation of the story using important points. I will also take the fact that they put an intriging headline and a simple sub-heading.
